Filmed from the mid- to late-1980s and directed by Jennie Livingston, Paris is Burning explores the complexities of ball competitions, drag culture, African American and Latinx culture, class, violence, gender identify, racism, and sexuality. Silver press prints, the images measuring 181x241 mm; 7x9½ inches, and slightly smaller, and the reverse, the sheets 254x203 mm; 10x8 inches, each with a printed caption on recto. 1990.
